Souvenirs of Imaginary Places: Photographs by Randall Tosh on view now
The Oregon Artists Series Foundation (OASF) presents two exhibits of recent photographs by Randall Tosh, at its Level 2 Gallery in the Salem Convention Center and the Art Hall at the Salem Public Library. Both shows open on October 8, 2024, run through January 11, 2025, and are free and open to the public.

Gary Westford, “Miraculous Occurrences” Exhibit Opens
Miraculous Occurrences, an exhibition of recent paintings by Salem artist Gary Westford, is on view at the Level 2 Gallery in the Salem Convention Center and in the Art Hall at the Salem Library from September 19, 2023 to January 22, 2024.
“Sense of Place” Group Exhibit Opens
Sense of Place, an exhibition of recent paintings by four Oregon artists, at its Level 2 Gallery in the Salem Convention Center. The exhibit is complemented by a second show in the Art Hall at the Salem Public Library.
“indelible: Artists Portraits” by Diane Beals Opens
indelible: Artist Portraits by Diane Beals, an exhibit in two parts, has opened in the Level 2 Gallery at the Salem Convention Center and in the new Art Hall at the Salem Public Library. The exhibits document, using black and white photography, a group of artists in Salem who have made indelible and memorable marks through their art and creative practices. Both shows run through the end of September 2022.
“Dreams: Recent Paintings” by Jon Colburn Exhibit Opens
The exhibit, Dreams, recent paintings by Salem artist Jon Colburn, opened in the Level 2 Gallery in the Salem Convention Center. The show, open now, was accompanied by a companion show in the Art Hall at the Salem Public Library that opened on February 28. Shows at both locations run until June 23, 2023.
“wishful thinking” Exhibit on View at Level 2 Gallery at Salem Convention Center
Recent work by Salem artists Sandra (1943-2022) and Dave Nichols forms the exhibit, wishful thinking, in the Level 2 Gallery at the Salem Convention Center and the Art Hall at the Salem Public Library. Shows at both locations run until January 12, 2023.
OASF Launches Level 2 Gallery
Level 2 Gallery inside the Salem Convention Center (SCC) opened in February 2022 and builds upon the 15 year partnership that the Oregon Artists Series Foundation has had to bring high quality contemporary art to the Center. With major paintings by Salem and Oregon artists installed in the main corridors on the first floor of SCC, Level 2 will present changing exhibits of work by established and emerging artists of the region on the second floor. Exhibits may feature one or two artists at a time or group shows organized around a theme that is relevant to the Salem area.
OASF Gifts Major Work by Robert Bibler to Salem Convention Center
The Salem Convention Center has acquired a significant painting by Salem artist Robert Bibler for its collection through a unique partnership with and a gift from the nonprofit Oregon Artists Series Foundation (OASF). Bibler’s Mystere Ontologique, a 36“ x 48“ oil on canvas work, has been installed on the west end of the Center’s first floor, where it can be seen during events and business hours.
Salem Convention Center Acquires New Painting by Richard Thompson
The Salem Convention Center has acquired a significant painting by noted Oregon artist Richard Thompson through a unique partnership with the nonprofit Oregon Artists Series Foundation (OASF). Thompson’s Home Pool, a 78” x 108” oil on canvas work, has been installed on the west end of the Center’s first floor, where it can be seen during business hours.
CJ Rench Sculpture, "Entwined", added to Salem Convention Center
A stainless steel sculpture by Hood River artist C.J. Rench will become the latest addition to Salem Convention Center’s Sculpture Plaza on June 26.
Oregon Artists Series Foundation’s “Fall for Art” Awards and Auction Set For November 2
The first annual awards Celebrating the Arts in Salem will be a highlight of the Oregon Artists Series Foundation’s “Fall for Art” fundraiser Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Salem Convention Center. Guests are invited to bid on more than 30 pieces of “twice loved” art in a silent auction and honor two Salem artists, two arts supporters and an arts activist and institution.
Rare Roy Setziol Stone Sculpture Gifted to City of Salem
The City of Salem is now home to a rare mid-20th century stone sculpture by noted Oregon artist Leroy Setziol as a result of the City’s unique partnership with the Oregon Artists Series Foundation and a gift from Salem collectors, Armande and the late Daniel Ritter. Mayor Anna Peterson will accept the work of art, now installed at the southeast corner of Liberty and Ferry streets downtown, on behalf of the City, on August 31, 2016.
Salem Convention Center Acquires Major Painting by Jon Jay Cruson
The Salem Convention Center has acquired a large landscape painting by Jon Jay Cruson for its collection through a unique partnership with the nonprofit Oregon Artists Series Foundation. Cruson’s “Distant Horizon,” a 48” x 48” acrylic on canvas work, has been installed on the west end of the first floor, where it can be seen when the center is open.
Oregon Artists Series Foundation to Celebrate 10 Year Anniversary of the Salem Convention Center
The Oregon Artists Series Foundation will join in the 10 year anniversary celebration of the Salem Convention Center. The Oregon Artists Series Foundation places works of art in and around the Convention Center and will add to the celebration evening with a special silent auction and artist reception on Thursday, November 5, 2015.
