“Entwined”, CJ Rench
Entwined, an 11 foot stainless steel sculpture with red powder-coated elements, was purchased by the Salem Convention Center in June 2018 with assistance from OASF. The piece was created by CJ Rench, a self-taught artist who lives and works in Hood River.
"Breathing Post", Peter Beeman
Breathing Post, a 14-foot tall kinetic sculpture by Pete Beeman, with a turn crank at its base, was an interactive addition to the OASF Sculpture Now! Exhibit, the 5th in its annual series. Passers-by are invited to activate the sculpture, using a crank to move its horizontal arms. When the hand crank at the bottom is turned, the wing/rib forms at the top rise and fall together, as though the post is flying, breathing or waving.
"Receptacle", Mel Katz
A major gift to OASF enabled the Foundation to purchase, then gift to the City, Receptacle by noted Oregon artist Mel Katz. The 2004 piece was installed on the southwest corner of Chemeketa and Liberty Streets in downtown Salem on October 19, 2017.
"Vertebra: Time Wave Zero", Dave Haslett

Untitled ("Cube"), Bruce West
Bruce West’s untitled stainless steel sculpture, known as the “Cube,” was languishing in a less than optimal location in City Hall when OASF approached the City of Salem to relocate it to the grounds of the new Salem Convention Center, where it was moved. But in March 2015, through a collaboration between OASF and the Salem Public Art Commission, the piece was re-sited again, to an art well at the northeast corner of Liberty and State streets downtown, adjacent to the recently renovated McGilchrist and Roth buildings.
"Break Dancer", Weltzin (Bill) Blix
Break Dancer is one of several sculptures included in OASF’s Sculpture Now! Exhibition. The piece was ultimately purchased by the City for the Salem Convention Center to advance Salem Vision 2020 plans to make downtown a more livable and inviting location. Riverfront Downtown Urban Renewal money was used for the acquisition.
"The Drummer", Robert Hess

The 70” tall forged steel and braised bronze work was initially displayed outside the Salem Public Library but was later moved to the Salem Convention Center and included in OASF’s 5th annual exhibition, “Sculpture Now” in 2011. The piece developed structural issues in Fall 2021 and is in storage waiting conservation.
“Untitled”, Leroy Setziol
In 2016, OASF accepted the gift of a rare mid-20th century basalt sculpture by noted Oregon artist Leroy Setziol from Salem collectors, Armande and the late Daniel Ritter. The piece was then gifted to the City of Salem with Mayor Anna Peterson accepting the work of art, now installed at the southeast corner of Liberty and Ferry streets downtown, on August 31, 2016.
